 Things

 I was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised not too far from there in a town now called Eastpointe.  My mom and dad still live in the house I grew up in.  I have one sister, Jodie, who is 4 and a half years younger than me.  

 

I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was in third grade.  I had a wonderful third grade teacher that made learning fun.  She changed my entire outlook on education.  Since then I have been pursuing my dream.

 

I went to school at Eastern Michigan University, where I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education.  I did my student teaching at Whitmore Lake Elementary with Ms. Striz in the MAC.  I have taught Title-One Reading, 3rd-4th grade Writing, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th  grade.

I am currently living in Harper Woods, MI and teaching 5th grade at Whitmore Lake Middle  School.
