Trojan Summer Boys Basketball 2011

This summer and hopefully all that follow will be of no cost to participate in the practices or scrimmages. The only cost will be for food. We are going to be running two teams, one for the older kids (11th -12th grade) and one for the younger kids (9th – 10th grade). The food costs are $10 for the younger group and $25 for the older group. This money will be used to cover snacks/drinks for the all day events. If the players want more food then that cost will be out of pocket. The older group is running a 4 day camp up in Port Huron and that is why their food costs are higher.

We will be running our summer basketball program for the last three weeks in June. Some younger kids will have the opportunity to play on the older team based on skill level, numbers, and time availability. Our goal is to get as much game experience as possible and build some team chemistry. Currently we have 27 games scheduled between both teams. For the tournaments, practice time earns playing time. If you want to play in the tournaments we expect you at all of the practices. If you can not make a practice or tournament for whatever reason, call either Coach Livingston (810-650-8061) or Coach Lad (734-972-1246). It will work just like the regular season. Get into the habit of being responsible to your teammates and coaches.

We are trying to build a successful program and to do that, it takes Hard work, Dedication, and Commitment. Everything worthwhile is always earned. There has been little sustained success surrounding the basketball program in the past several years and little has been done about it. It is time to change the culture and the way things are done. This is the time to put in the work to create the success we will enjoy next season. It is your time now…

Hope to see you this summer,

Coach Livingston (810-650-8061)
