Course Objectives For Second Trimester 2011/12
CONCERT BAND
1) Understand and apply performance based interpretation of music to be performed at Band festival at the end of the term. Basic principles of good tone production, intonation, phrasing, blend, balance, technique, and characteristic interpretation will be studied and applied to the music.
2) Learn style and history relative to the composer of the music being performed.
Music to be performed will include an American march and two concert pieces as well as music to further developing sight reading skills.
